Technoblade: Minecraft YouTuber dies from cancer aged 23

Technoblade is a YouTuber from Minecraft has passed away at the age of 23. His family shared an emotional goodbye video on his behalf.



The video, which was titled "so long geeks" and posted to his 10 million followers and showed his father calling him "the most amazing kid anyone could want".



The US internet personality rose to fame by livestreaming and sharing videos of himself playing the sandbox video game.



In the year 2000, Technoblade revealed to fans that he was diagnosed with cancer.



The father of his son read his farewell message hours before his death. It began with "Hello everyone, Technoblade here." If you''re watching this. I am dead."



He then revealed that his real name was Alex. He also recalled the time he fooled viewers into believing his name was Dave.



"Thank you all for supporting my content over the years," he continued. "If I had another hundred lives, I think I would prefer to be Technoblade over and over again because those were the most joyful years of my life."



The online star, who took home Minecraft tournaments and had thousands of fans praising him in a humorous manner while playing the game, explained in a video of a fundraising campaign that he received radiation therapy, chemotherapy and a limb rescue operation after developing an infected tumor that was painful.



Sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer is the reason for his death.



He disclosed his cancer diagnosis in August 2021, explaining that he initially thought the pain he felt was due to an injury to the muscles from repetitive stress caused by playing too much. He was diagnosed with cancer after his arm began to swell.



It is not known much about Technoblade who kept his identity a secret until the end. However, his avatar on the internet was a photo of a crown pig.



His YouTube channel has 10.8 million subscribers. His bio reads: "I play too many video games. While I might not be the best, I have hot elbows..



''Strategizing in heaven''



In the wake of the announcement of his death his gamers, fans and YouTubers paid tribute on the internet.



"I''ll never forget the day I met Technoblade," recalled J Schlatt. "I left my job early to join him in the Minecraft tournament. I didn''t know how to play... but the dude managed to keep us entertained throughout the entire event.



"Rest in peace, big guy. You''ll always be a legend."



YouTuber Captain Puffy Captain Puffy, also known as Cara, tweeted: "Rest In Peace Technoblade. He always treated me with pure kindness. I was never denied from anything." He couldn''t be more generous!"



She added: "Thank you for everything you''ve done for the community, it will never be the same without you."



Tommy Innit stated that "Technoblade" is a legend. From being a massive fan, to becoming one of his closest friends, I cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am to have had the privilege of being in his life. I''m sure he''s mulling in heaven on how to defeat God ..."



"I''ve been watching Technoblade''s videos for the past hour," added Ludwig Ahgren. "He was so witty and humble in the toughest of times. He will always be a role model for me."



Quackity also expressed his gratitude on social media, posting: "I had the opportunity to express to Technoblade how much admiration and gratitude I felt for him, not just for the massive impact that he had on all of us and his incredible humour, but also for maintaining his incredible humour even in the most difficult times. Irc101 I will miss him so much."



"May be he rest in peace,"added eSports gamer Jake Lucky.



Technoblade''s father thanked fans during the video that he sent to fans saying: "You meant a lot to him."



He explained that a percentage of online orders for the products of his son will now be donated to the cause.



The video concluded with a letter from his family. It stated: "We, Technoblade, wanted you to know how his love and respect for his colleagues and fans."



Technoblade was active from the very beginning. He was always trying to find ways to delight and reward his followers. He gave away prizes on the internet, encouraged good sportsmanship, and shared his Minecraft adventures for laughter and entertainment.



"Even after his successes, he somehow managed his good-natured humility and played with a delightful balance of confidence and self-deprecating humor."



Minecraft lets users create their very own virtual world by digging holes and collecting blocks.



Recent updates to the game have been utilized to aid children in exploring and build their skills and knowledge in the field of careers, and to find solutions to real-world issues such as flooding.



Ted Nevison described Technoblade to be "effortlessly humorous" as well as "endlessly talented". "Gone too soon," he said.



Bad Boy Halo also paid their respects by stating: "Words cannot express how much you will miss. The lives you touched and the impact you''ve had on them will last forever."



Slimecicle stated that Technoblade''s "personality, sense of humor and ability to express himself clearly were a true source of inspiration for him and countless others."
