The Kerem Tunnel is a great location to go on a hike or ride.
The Kerem Tunnel, the first cycle tunnel in Israel is now open in the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycling route that surrounds Jerusalem, the capital city.

The tunnel links the paths between Nahal Refaim and Emek Motza. It is located in southern Israel in Refaim Park. Ein Laban is the nearest. Nahal Ein Kerem is the northern entrance.

Elkin explained that the Kerem Tunnel project is an important tool in realizing the goal to transform the idea of transportation throughout Jerusalem. The Kerem Tunnel, originally excavated by the Gihon Corporation in the 1990s in order to move the main sewer line toward Sorek''s purification plant.

Road construction, installation , and testing of safety and electrical systems are some of the ongoing works to ensure that the tunnel is secure for all seasons.

The Kerem Tunnel also allows access to unique recreation sites such as the Ein Kerem neighborhood, the biblical zoo and aquarium and the historical natural springs of Ein Laban and Ein Haniyeh.
