''Minecraft: Education Edition'' The Game will be Available In Early Access

A new version of Minecraft developed for the classroom is now available for early access. Minecraft Education Edition was launched in January, as part of Microsoft''s acquisition MinecraftEdu, which is a team that has been working on the game for teachers. The replacement will be available for free this summer, prior to the pricing model per student is launched for the academic year. Microsoft has provided MinecraftEdu customers a year''s free access to Education Edition as a thank you. This will likely start when the trial is over.
Minecraft servers

Education Edition has some advantages over the default version of Minecraft. It is the first time that up to 30 students can study and work together in the same virtual world without the need to create an individual server using an application like Minecraft Realms. Teachers can create non-player characters (NPCs) to create an experience that is more guided, and provide them with web-based links so that students can access additional resources. A chalkboard item can be used to offer instructions. Students can also utilize a camera to capture pictures of their work and create an in-game portfolio.

Microsoft claims that it is currently working on other features requested by the community. The new interface provides teachers with the ability to map out their classrooms with markers for each student as well as the possibility of teleporting users (should someone wander off or make a mistake), and a chat window to manage private and class-wide conversations. Minecraft has already proven to be a highly effective educational tool. It can teach the arts, geology and coding. There is an official version available for schools.
