Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a religious family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the eldest child of elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was a pioneer of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of Oyakhilome families. She handed down her divine grace to her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaborative effort between the families. Reverend Ken, his brother, is the most revered minister of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM), where many gospel musicians are among the top-selling artists worldwide.

Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon is following in her father's tradition of sharing God's Word with the world. As well as being known by CSO as a singer, she is an accomplished, award-winning gospel artist and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome went to Edo College and was awarded an award from Bendel State University to study architecture. He is also an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. It was Ambrose Ali University when he received his call from God to be a minister and serving the Lord.
