Minecraft: How To Breed Llamas

Llamas are very unique animals in Minecraft, as they serve a number of purposes and differ from most other animals. Llamas can be tamed to make a caravan or transport items. Llamas can carry up to 15 items when they are equipped with a chest. What''s more, attaching a lead to one will cause nine other Llamas to all follow behind it in a line. This is what''s known as a caravan. It allows players to transport large quantities of items quickly. Breeding Llamas is very similar to breeding Horses in Minecraft. This means that there is a lot of work involved, especially if the goal is to breed the most efficient Llamas.

Minecraft players should consider several factors when taming Llamas. The most obvious factor is appearance, but it is entirely up to the player what they choose. Llama''s strength is what determines how many it can carry. Llamas have variable health, depending on their parents.

Every wild Llama found is assigned a random strength value from one to five. Each level of Strength a Llama is granted three inventory slots (i.e. Llama with strength 1 has 3 slots while Llama with strength 5 has 15 slots). A random HP value is also assigned to them, ranging from 15-30. Llamas cannot be bred in Minecraft. The offspring can only ever be 1 point stronger than their strongest parents, which is quite rare. For hit points, the higher HP of both of its parents the better.

Hay Bales can be used to induce Llamas'' love mode and allow them to breed. You can make these with nine wheat but it may take up to three haybales to get the Llama into Love Mode and start breeding. In order to maximize your chance of getting a strength-five Llama, it is important that players ensure that their strongest Llama are part of the breeding. Because only the strongest Llama has a strength value, it is important to choose the Llama that is the most healthy for the other parent. It is always possible to lose strength. The strongest Llamas and the one with most health are the only requirements for players to keep two Llamas.

That''s all there are to breeding Llamas. Although it may take some time to gather the wheat for the Hay Bales, the strength and HP of the offspring is largely up to chance. However, nothing beats a strong caravan. This is especially true if the player wants to move their Minecraft base somewhere else.
