How To Find A Server ID In Discord On A PC Or Smartphone


Device missing? Practically everything you see on Discord has a unique 18-digit number assigned to it. Users, messages, channels, and Discord servers all have special IDs. These numbers are used by developers to identify individual items.



You can still enjoy Discord life, even without knowing these IDs. However, there are times when a serverID is needed to help you resolve or investigate an issue. Find out how to locate a Discord server identification.

How to find a Discord Server ID on your PC



To locate the server identification, you must first turn on "Developer Mode". This can be done via the desktop app or through the web browser.



1. Register to Discord





2. Click the "Settings” button, which is located at the bottom left.





3. From the menu on the left, choose the "APP SETTINGS" option.





4. Scroll down to the "Advanced" section then click on the slider beside the "Developer Mode" option.





5. Now press ESC, or click X for the settings to be closed.





Note: "Developer Mode" is enabled once the slider is blue and disabled when gray.



1. Right-click on the name of the server to open it.





2. Choose "Copy ID."





3. Copy the ID to a place you can use it later.





How to find a Discord Server ID for an iPhone



Before copying a server ID, you''ll need to enable "Developer Mode." Here''s how to use your iPhone or any iOS device:





2. From the top left, tap the three-lined menu icon to access the menu panel.





3. Tap the profile icon in the menu''s bottom right.





4. Swipe up until you find the "APP SECTIONS", then tap on "Appearance," and then look for "ADVANCED."





5. Next, tap the slider beside the "Developer Mode" option to enable it.





6. Leave the "Appearances” menu.





Notice: When the slider appears gray, Developer Mode is disabled. If enabled, it becomes blue.



Find the server''s ID now:



1. Above the channel list, find the server''s name then tap the three-dotted icon next to it.





2. At the bottom of the drop-down menu, choose "Copy ID." - The server ID will be copied to your clipboard.






How to Find a Discord Server ID on an Android Device



Before retrieving a Server ID, you must turn on Developer Mode.



1. Register for your Discord account.





2. Tap the hamburger menu icon.





3. Tap the profile icon in the bottom right.





4. Choose "User Settings," then "App Settings," then choose "Behavior."





5. Now enable "Developer Mode" by tapping the slider beside it, under the "CHAT BEHAVIOR"





6. You can leave the "Behavior” menu.





Note: Developer Mode is activated when the slider is blue, and disabled when it is gray.



To copy the server''s ID:



1. Long-press on the server’s name to access the channel list.





2. Tap "Copy ID" from the drop-down menu. The server ID will then be copied to your clipboard.
