Whats the single most popular WoW private server?

I'm trying hard to dedicate a lot time to one server. I want to know which server has the largest playerbase to ensure it will be around for some time. Datchley's blog I dont really care about version or exp rate but prefer exp rater to be 2x or less

Warmane seems to be the answer at the time.

I was looking to start up a sandbox vanilla wow private server to replace the void.

Warmane has the servers which will be around for the longest time. High population and out-of-Blizzard's reach. Look at the population charts on their site and pick the bigger WOTLK (high rate) or Lordaeron (1x rates). Classic coming will hurt Kronos, which is a larger vanilla server. FYI, Tauri has an amazing MOP Server.

It is great to play on the Tauri MoP server. There are always at least 500 people online.

Same, I like the idea, everything works great, but pop is sucky during US times. I just want it to be a quick lfr, then I can continue my night irl.

Most popular 2x or less severs are: Atlantiss TBC 1x , Netherwing tbc 2x , Warmane Lordaeron 1x (i know it's warmane but lordaeron does not have a cash shop and everything is harder on there). Because Light's Hope vanilla is closing in 3 weeks, I didn't include it.
