This Is Obviously False For Starters

Marvin Harrison Jr. might be a little more athletic.

Word of the Day: Unknown

QB CONTROVERSY Folks, it appears that we might have ourselves an old-fashioned quarterback controversy.

Teradja Mitchel, Buckeye linebacker has been playing defense for his entire Ohio State career. His ability to move the ball downfield with complete ease suggests that he might be considering a switch to a different position this offseason.

Aye Im coming @CJ7STROUD https://t.co/4MIkL1QcDX

Normaly, a Heisman Trophy winner and incumbent starter wouldn’t be bothered by someone who hasn’t played the position. Mitchell''s tape left Stroud stunned and determined to fight for his job.

Im omw back to the woody right now to train, u throwing that thang not gon front https://t.co/CQDb47g1rU

Columbus has made things even more interesting.

CRY. Y''all probably won''t believe this, however Dabo Swinney did find something to complain about during his press conference at ACC Media Days.

After leading his team to its worst season since 2014, Swinney is out here bitching about the criticism he''s been getting from his fanbase, suggesting that some folks are calling for him to be fired after Clemson won 10 games last season.

Dabo Swinney

This is obviously false. Second, imagine any other elite coach - Nick Saban, Ryan Day, hell even Jim Harbaugh - going to his preseason press conference and making a statement like that. minecraft It would cause everyone to lose their minds.

For sheer shits, and giggles though, I decided that I would look into Swinney’s buyout in case Clemson does fire him. Turns out, they would have owed him a whopping $47.5 million in buyout money.

Needless to mention, the job is not easy. Buddy needs to stop complaining about it and get coaching football.

TRANSFER WINDOW. The NCAA appears to be opening a specific window for players who wish to enter the NCAA Transfer portal.

The Council supported a concept that would abolish the blanket rule that prohibits transfers more than once. The concept would also include transfer portal entry windows, which are periods in which student athletes must notify their school by writing that they have transferred to be eligible for competition immediately following the academic year.

Students could submit written notification of transfer for both winter and spring sports within 60 days of the NCAA championship selections. For fall sports, there would be two windows that each provide 60 calendar days. The first window would be 45 days beginning the day following championship selection and the second would be from May 1 to May 15. Participants in the Football Bowl Subdivision Championship games will be given reasonable accommodations.

This makes sense and it''s what most other sports do in some capacity.

However, this doesn''t mean that players won''t have to take off their jerseys and go through the transfer portal at the end of a game. And that''s a shame.

RIP TURNOVER CHAIN. Mario Cristobal, the new Miami head coach, is already making sure that The U has less fun next season.

Mario Cristobal, Miami Hurricanes'' first-year coach, said Wednesday to the Action Network that the team is dropping the "turnover chains" for the 2022 season.

According to a tweet, Cristobal stated, "It is not part of our cultural heritage."

Miami''s turnover chain, a 36-inch, 2.5-kilogram 10-karat gold chain that players wear after forcing a turnover, is an over-sized, 36-inch-long, 10-karat-gold chain. Since the 2017 season''s first game, the school has used it.

To be clear, I don''t like turnover props but I have always respected the Turnover Chain.

I don’t believe the "it’s just not part our culture” quote. The turnover chains were arguably the most Miami-related thing that has happened to the team since the Catholics and Convicts days.

SONG OF THE DAY. "Turn My Swag On" by Soulja Boy.
