Steam Deck Xbox Games Include Fable And Halo: Non-FPS. Now

Microsoft today announced that the Steam Deck Xbox games list has been extended to include 11 well-known Xbox-published titles that are now confirmed or playable on Valve's systems. Although the list doesn't include the Steam Deck Halo Infinite compatibility that Microsoft had been hoping for however, it does include Fable and Gears Tactics as well as Minecraft Dungeons and all other Halo games that aren't FPS-based.

As PCGamesN reported yesterday, there are more than 22,000 Steam Deck verified or playable games, but there are still about 1,000 Unsupported games. Unfortunately, some of the Unsupported ones include such major Xbox games as Halo Infinite and Gears 5, mostly thanks to problems with Easy Anti-Cheat.

Xbox Games Pass Ultimate subscribers can stream Xbox games on Steam Deck. However, Steam Deck users who want to download them are usually out of luck. Minecraft servers is a good thing, as Xbox Games Studios today reveals a further batch of Steam Deck compatible games - which sadly still doesn't include the most recent Halo or Gears games, however, it does include Halo Wars, Gears Tactics, Minecraft Dungeons, and the only major Fable game for PC.
