How to get Minecraft Windows 10 Edition for Free! (Mojang News post)

It looks like this is an unintentional post, as there's no redeem button on the Mojang account page at the moment. It will be available after release, I believe.

Edit: The redeem button has appeared for me and many others! Check for yourself! http://i.imgur.com/9j8pupC.png

Works for me: http://imgur.com/km6PcRN

It's so tragic for their support department.

I'm able to redeem the button on Microsoft's account and billing page, but it says there is an error. Is there a deadline to redeem?

Windows 10 is being rolled out "today"/"tomorrow" depending where you are. The button should be available at 12:01 in the morning of Wednesday, Sweden time.

Also , I'm not seeing a redeem button. I can't wait until tomorrow!

For those who need Windows 10:

Manual installation is now available

Direct Links:

32bit exe

64bit exe

If you have an addon to force https open it in ie as the link is http only.

Instructions:

Download the tool.

Run it and go through the steps, it will let you format the USB drive or disk for the installation.

Open the drive you installed it on and run the installer.

It will install and activate automagically.

You can also save an ISO for later but do an in place update first so your key is activated.

I have installed the beta and it's confirmed working and free.

I just received it. It's incredible to see how efficient the game is. My computer's fans aren't bothered to start and the CPU runs nearly idle all the time.

Are there differences in the gameplay?

Yeah, if it runs great on mobile you'd think it would run pretty good on PC as well.)

It was just delivered. Singleplayer LOL 22 200mb and 2 % CPU There is some noticable mouse delays when you look around, but overall it looks great. I would like to edit a few additional settings like AA and Mip-Mapping. Textures turn mushy after a distance, and the water glare is weird. In other words, I'm happy with the port team.

there is some noticable mouse delay while looking around, but the rest of the site is great.

I noticed the same thing, the mouse acceleration is also odd.

It's an unfinished port at this time. It runs on C++, so it runs extremely smooth. It needs some work to make it more appealing to the PC audience. As of right now it appears to be a mobile game.

Forgive me if this seems like an insignificant question But what do you know about it already? Did Minecraft Servers get Windows 10 earlier?
