Minecraft has been around for many years now, and it's popularity is growing however, since its official launch on November 18th, 2011, many servers have grown, died and disappeared. Over the last 12 years, Minecraft has had four servers. Some were filled with chaos and drama, while others were a peaceful haven for friends.

The Novylen Minecraft Server located in Canada is the official name of the oldest Minecraft Server ever created on April 9th the year 2010, four months earlier than the previous server, MinecraftOnline. If you had read the previous articles you'll notice that MinecraftOnline was released the same day multiplayer was first created and how was Novylen created earlier than this?

While the server was first introduced on the day after Minecraft Multiplayer's release The map was made way earlier, when rbos, the owner, originally played the map on his singleplayer world all the way back in Minecraft's InfDev period (specifically InfDev 20100413), four months prior to the launch of Minecraft Multiplayer. To top it off the server has not once been reset, meaning a player could have hopped on over 10 years ago, created something, then gone, with their creation being the only reminder of their existence. Novylen is much less well-known than 2b2t. This means it hasn't faced the same fate as other exploits, griefs hackers, glitches, and other. This has led to many of the original designs of 2010 still being seen even today!

Nerd.nu was launched on June 10 2009, and was first launched just three days after Minecraft's unofficial Multiplayer release Version Classic 0.0.16a'. Survival mode was not an option in Minecraft at the time of its launch. Nerd.nu has hosted numerous Minecraft creations, as you can see in the image above. XSZXEDU.COM There have been many gamemodes added to the server over time. The most popular and oldest is the one called 'Creative which lets players fly and build whatever they like.

Although the server was created in the early stages, some argue that MinecraftOnline is a lot older than it was. This is because the map has been reset several times over the years, so it's not the same that it was ago. Nerd.nu's Creative gamemode is currently on its 36th revision, meaning it was previously reset 35 times.

MinecraftOnline was first launched on the 4th of August, 2010, and has long had the status of being the oldest server in Minecraft's history since it was built within an hour of Notch releasing survival multiplayer mode. Since then, astonishingly, the server has stayed in operation and hasn't been reset once. It's not exactly like the cobblestone conglomerate 2b2t has created.

Amazingly, MinecraftOnline has been staffed since its beginning. MinecraftOnline also has rules that players must adhere to unlike 2b2t. However, it's not always the case that players adhere to the rules however in the 12 years it's been running, over 43,000 players have been banned. It's not only that. The world's size (remember that it hasn't been reset) has grown to 26GB, just one world.

2b2t is one of the most well-known Minecraft servers. Since it's founding at the end of December 2010 2b2t has been infamous for being an anarchy server, with a severe lacking of rules and thousands of players using hacked client systems, and an absence of friendliness, giving the server it's distinct beaten-up landscape. The most prominent feature of the server is its map. It hasn't been changed since it was first created. This means that numerous players have left and come back over the years, leaving their mark on the server for all time.

2b2t was a steady stream of players in its beginning days. Over the years, it fluctuated between 10-80. In June 2016 however, the situation changed when TheCampingRusher uploaded his very first video. Since then, countless other YouTubers have uploaded videos to the server, bringing 2b2t its popularity to the forefront of today's media. The server has over 1000 users at peak times in 2022, and it doesn't look like the number will fall anytime soon.

In conclusion, along with these servers, a lot of other servers also are from the year 2011. Servers haven't been around for that long.
