Microsoft Teases The New Xbox Game With Popular Developer Hideo Kujima

Microsoft announced that it has signed a partnership with Hideo Kojima (the director of the hit games such as Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding) for its Xbox video game console. Kojima announced the partnership in a voice message, but did not give any specifics about the game's name, or when it will be launched.

Kojima declared that it could take some time, through an interpreter in the announcement. Popular as a developer and head of Kojima Productions, Kojima is well-known for his dedication to the highest quality of his games. Sometimes MINECRAFT can take many years. Kojima suggested that Microsoft's cloud gaming technology would be a key element of the title, adding that it's a game he's "always wanted to create."

Microsoft's announcement came as part of its annual summer announcement event, which included the unveiling of the brand new action game Minecraft Legends and the space adventure game Starfield, both coming in the coming year. Microsoft also used the event to announce details about the upcoming releases of anticipated titles like Activision Blizzard's online battle game Overwatch 2 and its next big dungeon-horror title, Diablo 4.

Kojima's team is working on a sequel to the cult PlayStation title, Death Stranding.
