Microsoft Announces Minecraft Legends Game For Xbox, PC And Cloud, Coming In 2022


Microsoft is expanding its world of Minecraft into a new action-adventure title, Minecraft Legends. extremecraft will be released in 2023 and asks players to explore Minecraft as it is attacked by a dark force.



Mojang studios of Microsoft who creates Minecraft has described this latest game as a familiar, but in many ways-new experience that is focused more on strategy and combat. The original Minecraft game was released in the year 2011. It requires players to build and explore while sometimes fighting zombie-like creatures.



Microsoft announced that you are the center of any battle you fight, fighting alongside allies and guiding them," in a teaser announcement. Microsoft announced that it had collaborated with Blackbird Interactive who also developed the space strategy game Homeworld3.



Just that Minecraft Legends comes from a popular title doesn't guarantee success however. Minecraft is a popular video game that ranks right there with Super Mario Bros., Grand Theft Auto and Tetris. However, its efforts to expand beyond the hit formula have been sporadic.



According to Metacritic, Minecraft Dungeons was an action-adventure-style video game that was inspired by Minecraft. It received mixed reviews two years ago. GameSpot also a CNET corporate subsidiary has given Minecraft Dungeons a "good" rating. GameSpot noted that Minecraft Dungeons was primarily focused on fighting monsters, rather than offering a new twist on its original formula of world-building. GameSpot's Steve Watts stated that the game is not changing our expectations of what games should be. Instead, it's banking upon its own popularity.



Microsoft announced Minecraft Legends at its annual summer video game showcase, which is held online this year. The game will be released next year for Xbox, PC and cloud gaming.
