While still enrolled at AAU, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome got involved in the ministry. The Believers' LoveWorld Fellowship was known at the time as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC was able to grow to become the largest campus fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the home of the church. Believer's LoveWorld is an international ministry that has millions of members and associates all around the world.

BLW became the most prominent Christian ministry on television across Africa thanks to its"Atmosphere for Miracles" programme in 2002. The program was canceled in May of 2004 after President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria declared that churches should stop broadcasting miracles.
