Background:
The Kibon'ny Olona are the people from the lost African tribe of Foitrany. They're quite similar to the people of Madagascar given that the Foitrany was once a part of the island that supposedly broke off and drifted away. They're ethnically similar to the Betsileo people but practice a different religion than the other tribes of Madagascar. Legend has it that over a millennium ago, their goddess Foitrany was angered over the way in which her people were treated and as such took the land the tribe possessed and hid it away from the rest of the world.
The Kibon'ny Olona's society is matriarchal, led by the Chieftain Lalina sy Saro-pady. They're quite an advanced society, having developments that far surpass western society. Their religion is called Fivavahana Amin'ny Foibe which translates to Religion of the Navel. You see, the Kibon'ny Olona are a very navel centric people. The navel holds great significance in their society as a symbol of beauty, eroticism, and a reminder of the goddess Foitrany herself. As such, the navel is often exposed and a focal point of cultural celebrations, often adorned with intricate designs and precious stones. There's also a strong erotic connection to the navel in that for all Olonaians, the navel is an erogenous zone, more so than even the clitoris. It was discovered by researchers that there were over 10,000 nerve endings in the average Olonaian navel, with some lucky members having upwards of 15,000, all of which are connected directly to the genitals which makes the navel and surrounding region a sex organ for them. Also, their navels range in size from 1.5-2.5 times the size and depth of that of a non-Olonaian. Usually, the larger an Olona's navel is, the more nerve endings are inside. The Chieftain's family is fairly distinguished in that they have the biggest and most sensitive navels with one great Chieftain, Lalina's great-grandmother Faratampony having an 8cm wide, 6.35cm deep navel that had a record 32,852 nerve endings, 12,407 of which resided in a nub at the base of her navel.

Olonaian tradition states that in the event one is identified, they be treated like a member of the royal family for a navel like of that design is a gift from Foitrany herself and must be treated as such.
