Most all of the medical studies pre-covid-19, regarding masks, clearly came to the conclusion that it made no difference whether it be a N95 or cloth, or even wearing a mask had any effect on spreading or not spreading viruses. All the studies did say that washing hands, keep a distance, and wear a mask if in constant and close contact COMBINED might help. No medical study, states, nor proves, that masks are necessary, or should ever be made mandatory. As a matter of fact, they say they are dangerous if not worn correctly.

My personal observation of some clerks at checkouts is that I've noticed that the checkout clerks touch or adjust their masks at least 7 or 8 times in two minutes without disinfecting their hands.

I've done my best to find reliable sources. Most links are to .gov, .org, .cdc, .cmaj, universities and medical journals data with source links to studies and analysis.

When hundreds of medical studies tell you one thing and the MSM news tells you another than something is wrong and you need to ask some questions. The hypocrisy surrounding this issue is staggering.

If you go to the CDC's site as of Aug 12th. They will NOW say that mask are necessary , but with no sources to back up their claims now. But if you go to The Way Back Machine and look at the info from previous years, it had sources backing up it's findings.

Although mechanistic studies support the potential effect of hand hygiene or face masks, evidence from 14 randomized controlled trials of these measures did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza. We similarly found limited evidence on the effectiveness of improved hygiene and environmental cleaning.

This study is the first RCT of cloth masks, and the results caution against the use of cloth masks. This is an important finding to inform occupational health and safety. Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection. Further research is needed to inform the widespread use of cloth masks globally.
