Villager Appearance:



Not only do the tasks of villager change based on their profession, but their appearance will be different in every biome. To make sure that each job remains distinct, they keep traits that are specific to their field of work. All farmers will wear straw hats, and all Librarians must wear glasses.



Trading in stocks



As of 1.14, Mojang has introduced the delightful concept of ''Supply and demand. This basically means that if you do an item trade too often, not only will the villager run out of stock in that specific item however, prices (amount of jewels or items you need to offer) will also increase when the item is traded frequently. Trades can be made up to four times before stock is exhausted. Villagers replenish their stock twice a day. The price of an item will drop when it''s not traded.



Unlocking Trades:



Both the villager and player gain experience when they trade. The next level of trades is available when the villager''s levels increase. Each villager has 5 levels of trades that unlock more and more high-quality items. A villager''s level is represented by a colored badge on their clothing. It ranges from Novice(Stone), Apprentice(Iron), Journeyman(Gold), Expert(Emerald) and up to Master(Diamond).



Wandering Trader



This is a little unusual however, there is a single villager that is different from the other villager. The Wandering Trader is a passive Mob that appears randomly throughout the globe, and with no pattern. It is equipped with two leashed trading lamas that are similar to normal llamas with a cosmetic change. Another distinctive feature of this Villager is the absence of trading levels. This means that any trades you''ve rolled with him will be yours forever. Don''t fret, however your trades will be reset when he appears again.



The services provided by the Wandering Trader are regarded as typically obscure, and challenging items to get. They are not particularly powerful or impressive, but valuable nevertheless. Be quick, as the Wandering Trader will disappear after 40-60 minutes.



Popularity:



As a player, you have an amount of fame. Negative actions such as attacking villages could decrease your popularity, while trading frequently or curing zombie villager are effective ways to increase the amount of popularity. Negative actions increase prices however positive actions reduce them.



Let''s say Illagers attack your village without warning. You happen to be in the vicinity and you can fend off the attack. You will be rewarded with the ''Hero of the Village'' status effect which will further lower prices for trade (except for trades that cost 1 emerald.)
